Installation instructions for CO2 laser (laser tube)
1. Connect the electrode wire first, and do not connect the (+ +, -) poles incorrectly.
2. The installation method of cooling water pipe is as follows: water in from high pressure, water out from negative pole, and meet the principle of low in and high out, and there is no water leakage at the interface. Before use, the water reservoir must be full of water. After water supply, the water-cooling pipe must be free of bubbles before use (check before each use). If the laser tube is installed vertically, please note that there is no air bubble on the top of the laser tube. Operation when there is bubble will cause thermal shock, which will cause damage to the laser tube.
3. In order to maintain the good performance of the laser tube, please use a temperature controlled chiller between 20-25 ℃. If the cooling water is unstable, the output power of the laser tube will be unstable.
4. When installing the laser tube, leave enough space between the high pressure end of the laser tube and any other metal surface. If the gap is too small, then the high pressure used to trigger the laser tube will ignite with the metal surface, which will damage the laser tube and even damage other main electronic components of the laser machine.
5. It is suggested that the user should add an automatic detection device (water protection or water supply signal detection of water chiller) in the cooling water circulation system of laser tube to prevent the laser tube from overheating due to water cut-off. Please consult the laser supplier for details.
Common problems and solutions in CO2 laser operation:
Weak power
1. Whether there are scratches and dirt on the surface of the output mirror of the laser tube, and the correct placement of the support point;
2. Output current, power supply voltage, temperature, cleanliness and flow of cooling water;
3. The surface cleanliness of the focusing mirror and reflector, whether it is heated or not, and whether the optical path deviates.
High pressure ignition
1. Check whether there are impurities or contact with metal objects around the high-pressure connector.
2. The indoor environment is too humid, which leads to the phenomenon of electric conductivity. In summer, when using the chiller, attention should be paid to condensation water;
3. Whether there is short line and damage inside the high voltage connection device of laser power supply.
The laser burst and the cold sleeve of the laser tube outlet fell off
1. The water temperature should be controlled in the range of 15 ℃ - 25 ℃. The cooling water in cold areas should not be frozen. After the laser is turned off, the cooling water should not be stored in the laser below 0 ℃;
2. When emitting light, it must work under the control of water protection; (test whether the laser tube will emit light or not with the water on and off);
3. Whether the water pipe of cooling water is bent, resulting in water not flowing or not enough flow.
4. Whether there are bubbles in the laser tube;
5. Whether the water pressure flow is normal, whether the water flow direction is low in and high out, and whether the water protection device has fault.
6. If the above items are normal, we can judge whether the laser tube quality has problems.
